NEWS:
Portsmouth, NH – April 24, 2008 – Fan favorites, Bellevue
Cadillac, is set to take stage Friday, May 16th at 7:00 pm at the Stone
Church in Newmarket, NH to help raise money for Seacoast Concert For
A Cure – an annual concert to benefit breast cancer research
and survivor support.
For 16 years Bellevue Cadillac has been heating up stages nationally
and internationally with high-energy performances of their wildly
original, yet familiar songs that have been heard in major motion
pictures and TV shows such as Shallow Hal, The Sopranos, Las Vegas
and Crossing Jordan.
Now the popular band will take stage to help champion the fight against
breast cancer.
"Bellevue Cadillac has a long history of supporting this cause,” says
bandleader Doug Bell. “The fact that my wife, Dr. Beth Ann Lesnikoski,
is a breast surgeon at Dana Farber / Brigham Women’s Hospital
keeps the cause in the forefront of everyday life. And to that end,
we do what we can."
Now in its fourth year, Seacoast Concert For A Cure is an annual
concert where musicians from throughout the area band together to
support local breast cancer organizations. Past year’s performers
have included Bellevue Cadillac, De Sol, Assembly of Dust, The Mammals,
Joyce Andersen Band, Bill Morrissey, Cormac McCarthy and many others.
This year’s Seacoast Concert For A Cure, being held Sunday,
June 29th at the Redhook Brewery, will benefit Fill the Gap, a telephone
helpline staffed by trained compassionate survivor volunteers who
provide support and information from the first awareness of a possible
breast diagnosis to entry into treatment; Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer
Retreats which provide adventure retreat weekends for women living
after breast cancer; On Belay, a local organization that supports
children of those suffering from cancer or other life-threatening
diseases; and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
When: Sunday, June 29 (rain or shine)
Musical festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. and will continue throughout the day

The Redhook Brewery will offer their special outdoor concert menu food items

Fill the Gap, Inc. was
created in 2007 to improve the lives of people facing a potential
breast cancer diagnosis by providing emotional and informational
support from first awareness of a potential problem through entry
into treatment. As a collaborative partnership with Seacoast New
Hampshire and Maine hospitals, Fill the Gap, Inc. provides a telephone
helpline for those who are processing the news that they, or a loved
one, may have breast cancer. Staffed by caring and compassionate,
trained survivor volunteers, the helpline serves as a link to various
local and national resources to meet the spiritual, physical, and
emotional needs of the caller.

The
Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats, founded in memory of
Betty J. Borry, is a retreat and support program for women living
after breast cancer. BJBBCR provides adventure-based opportunities
for women to challenge themselves physically, mentally and spiritually.
Traveling together on the breast cancer journey, women of all ages
and stages of breast cancer are empowered to move from surviving
to thriving.
